Whether you’re visiting us for a specialized service like dental implants or a routine checkup and cleaning, we make sure that no detail is missed and take the time to explain our findings with you. Images from our intraoral camera and digital X-rays act as a great educational aid to allow us to better explain problems you may face as well as make detailed treatment plans to restore your oral health.

Intraoral Camera

Our Schick intraoral cameras are small, handheld devices that we can maneuver around your mouth to gain an up-close, detailed view of hard-to-see nooks and crannies. We’re able to capture still images and record video footage, which we can display on a large chairside monitor to better explain any of our findings with you; this way, you receive a visual and audible explanation.

Digital X-Rays

Before digital technology was more widely used in dental offices, dentists would take film X-rays, which would require lengthy processing times and weren’t the highest quality of images. Today, we utilize digital X-ray imaging to immediately view the area of your mouth that lies below your gumline, keeping our eyes open for impacted wisdom teeth, infections, cysts, and tumors. The quality of the image is much higher, allowing Dr. Mason to accurately diagnose issues, and they’re easy to store and transfer to specialists, should you need to be referred to a different dental office.
